Located approximately nine miles west of the city of = Wilkes-Barre, the campus is situated on the former estate of coal baro= n, John N. Conyngham, II, in Lehman Township.

Many students beg= in their Penn State education here, completing course work for the fir= st two years of their major, before moving on to University Park, or a= nother Penn State location.
