The CIS Department’s aim at Luzerne County Community College is to offer curricula that are leading the Computer Information Systems and Office Management Technology industry in both technology and education. We offer a variety of different degrees to meet the needs of all our students.
The A.S. Degree provides an excellent preparation for transfer students to complete their Bachelor’s Degree at a four-year institution concentrating in CIS. LCCC has articulation agreements for the A.S. in CIS degree with many of the local 4-year colleges & universities.
The A.A.S. Degree prepares the student for immediate employment in the industry with areas of concentration in CIS, Court Reporting, Medical Office, or Office Applications.
The Certificate provides the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to specialize in the areas such as Medical Office, Office Applications, Programming, Office Management, or Web Development in order to prepare the student for a particular occupation.
The Diploma assists the student in immediate access to the job market or upgrading current employment skills in the areas of Office Applications, Programming, or Office Management.
